Artwork Requirements

Our online DTF software supports a wide range of file types to suit your artwork:

Accepted File Formats: PNG, PDF, SVG, JPG, PSD, AI/EPS

Vector type files are preferred as they are scaleable without loosing resolution.

Artwork Resolution:
Once uploaded, our software evaluates your file’s resolution using colour-coded indicators and alerts you if any images are overlapping.

Resolution: For sharp, high-quality DTF prints, your artwork should be created at 300 DPI (dots per inch) at the actual print size you want produced.

Simply increasing the size of a small image does not improve quality. Low-resolution artwork may appear:

  • blurry
  • pixelated
  • fuzzy when printed

Background: For the best DTF printing results, your artwork should have a transparent background unless you intentionally want the background printed.

A transparent background allows only your design to print onto the garment — without a white box, colored rectangle, or unwanted edges around the artwork.

Image Size: Use our Gangsheet Builder to resize your artwork to the exact dimensions required for printing.

Orientation: Please upload your artwork in the correct reading direction. Do not mirror, flip, or reverse your image before uploading.

Opacity: For best DTF printing results, avoid using translucent, semi-transparent, or low-opacity elements in your artwork.

DTF printing works best with solid, fully opaque colors. Transparent effects may print differently than they appear on screen and can result in:

  • Unexpected color changes
  • Visible artifacts
  • Uneven gradients
  • Inconsistent opacity on fabric

Line Thickness: For clean, durable DTF prints, all lines and small details should be at least 0.5 mm thick

Very thin lines and fine details may not receive enough adhesive powder during the production process to properly bond to the garment when heat pressed.

This can result in:

  • Incomplete transfers
  • Peeling or lifting
  • Broken details
  • Reduced wash durability

Colour Accuracy: While we strive to produce vibrant and accurate prints, exact colour matching cannot be guaranteed with DTF printing.

Printed colours may vary slightly from what you see on screen due to:

  • Monitor and screen settings
  • RGB to print colour conversion
  • Fabric colour and texture
  • Printer profiles and ink characteristics
  • White ink underbase used in DTF printing
